The Phoenix is Born

To be honest, I am terrified of my creation, which happens to be this blog. I don’t know what I will be talking about, let alone who will read any of this. But even the idea that an extra pair of eyes might potentially land their gaze at anything that I write is scary enough.

I don’t know much about blogging, I did not major in English, and I don’t read very many books either. In fact, I am a second year medical student who tends to over-analyze and likes structure and praise. So to begin something I know very little about means agreeing to make a mess with words and also to put myself at great risk of failure.

Nonetheless, here I am.

When I told my dad about wanting to start a blog, he told me to drop my perfectionist attitude and write whatever comes to my mind without too much editing. So, I will be taking his advice and accepting that I am a complete amateur who simply wants to have a chat with herself and whoever else happens to stumble upon her blog.

I promise to be myself. I promise to be honest. I promise to be as open as I can. Other than these, I can’t promise much else.

Lets see how things go, shall we?
